NNADAP – Addictions Worker

The NNADAP/Addictions Worker provides culturally responsive addiction prevention, intervention, recovery, and aftercare services for individuals, families, and the community. Through individual case management, group programming, community education, and coordinated supports, the position promotes wellness, harm reduction, and recovery by integrating traditional Anishinaabe teachings and land-based healing with evidence-informed practices.
Working collaboratively with clients, Elders, community partners, and interdisciplinary team members, the NNADAP/Addictions Worker plans, delivers, and evaluates programs and services that address community needs, strengthen recovery supports, and enhance overall wellness outcomes

Membership and Licensing Administrator

The Membership and Licensing Administrator is responsible for the administration and delivery of Batchewana First Nation’s (BFN) membership and licensing functions in accordance with the Indian Act, applicable legislation, and BFN policies and procedures. The incumbent oversees the Indian Registry program, provides guidance and support to community members, prospective members, internal departments, and external agencies. The position serves as the first point of contact for inquiries related to membership, including registration and entitlement, membership benefits, assertions, available program and services, and licensing matters, providing information, guidance, and referrals as appropriate. Key responsibilities include safeguarding confidential information, maintaining the integrity of membership records and databases, issuing Secure Certificate of Indian Status (Status) Cards, administering licensing processes, and commissioning oaths and affidavits as BFN’s Commissioner of Oaths. The position serves as a subject matter expert, ensuring services are delivered accurately, professionally, and in compliance with legislative and organizational requirements. The Membership and Licensing Administrator directly supervises the Membership Assistant.

Director of Natural Resources

The Director of Natural Resources is responsible for the management and administration of the Department of Natural Resources (the ‘Department’).
Under the strategic leadership of the Senior Director of Natural Resources, the Department leads the development and administration of regulations, policies and best practices related to the protection and sustainable development of lands, waters and resources in BFN’s Original Reserve. This work reflects our responsibilities as Anishinaabe and seeks to cultivate and promote the health of the land, air and water for future generations while balancing the current needs of the community.

The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritionally balanced meals to children, maintaining high standard of quality food preparation, and portion control. Behaviour Interventionist

The Behaviour Interventionist is part of an educational and behavioural team that use findings from observations, assessments, and data to increase positive behaviours and reduce behaviours that interfere with learning, safety, and wellbeing in children with behavioural needs within their scope under the supervision of the Student Support Manager, Behavioural Lead, and external providers such as psychologists. The Behaviour Interventionist will aid in evaluating, implementing and reporting observations, tests, and data to develop plans that will aid Education staff, school supports, and child/youth in successful classroom, home, and life skills.

Post Majority Care – Case Worker

The Post Majority Care Case Worker provides case management, service coordination, and transition planning for First Nations youth and young adults up to age 26 who are aging out of, or have aged out of, care. Working collaboratively with youth, families, and community partners, the Case Worker delivers culturally safe, trauma-informed, and strengths-based supports that promote independence, well-being, and connection to culture and community. Teacher (Maternity Leave Contract)
